Description
Our opinion
We’ve personally used this harness for everything ranging from D-Bags & Cross-country to Speedflying & Soaring.
The one thing that immediately sets the Karver II apart is the comfort. It’s the most comfortable semi-lightweight splitleg harness available.
When flying you immediately notice the low attachment points which allow you to easily go fully hands up with a parakite. What is also very noticeable is the weightshift. Some splitleg harnesses have some fabric between the legs which limits your weightshift. With the Karver this is not the case and as an result you have excellent weightshift.
I personally also really like how it follows your body. If you lean back it supports you, if you sit up it supports you. This is also possible with other harnesses but with the Karver II you feel no resistance from the harness.
One thing to note however is that it’s super minimalistic. There are no backpack, protection, pockets or shoulder straps by default. There are options to add this by using the tandem module but then you’re also stuck with a reserve pocket.
We’ve personally added an option to add the Sky X-Airbag onto this harness. This way we can use it for teaching with our students.
What we like
- Super comfortable
- Low attachment points
- Excellent weightshift
- Minimalistic
- High quality build
What we don’t like
- Lack of protection (by default)
- Lack of pockets
What the manufacturer says
The Karver II takes up the harness concept first introduced with the Karver. This concept has amply proven its potential in terms of comfort, safety, and ease of piloting.
It has evolved to be lighter, more comfortable, and simpler, but it has also become modular, like the Kruyer II, with which it shares the attachment system.
