Big updates!

Hey everyone, the last few months have really delivered. With many students learning to fly and really spreading their wings. In the meantime we have also not been sitting still, we’ve got some updates for you 🙂

We are officially a KNVvL school!

A while back Simon officially became a KNVvL instructor. Following this, since the 1st of August, we are officially a KNVvL approved school!

What this means is we can now officially give out licenses which allow you to fly insured and also abroad.

Besides this we are think the KNVvL is an important part of the community and the survival of it. Soaring in the Netherlands is currently quite under pressure and the KNVvL represents us in it.

We are proud to work together with them in protecting and improving our sport.

Get your KNVvL Soaring License!

As a celebration of our newly acquired approval and to support the soaring community with the changes that are up and coming.

We will be offering existing pilots to get their soaring license with us for free until the end of the year. After that it will be for a small fee.

We will create a dedicated page for it with the exact steps soon but for now if you’re interested and want to stay up-to-date join this WhatsApp group.

Hamza joining the team

We are also super happy to introduce you to our newest team member Hamza.

He’s from Morocco and a bird since birth. Hamza and Simon became good friends over a number of trips to Morocco. So when Simon heard Hamza was moving to the Netherlands he was overjoyed to welcome him to the team.

Hamza is a wonderfully kind human with a gentle disposition we look forward to working with him!

New system

We’ve also been working hard on streamlining our internal and external processes. We’ve revamped our system so that flying days replace WhatsApp polls and there is now one place where we communicate updates on the weather and location for each flying day.

In the Winter Academy we do whatever the weather dictates.

Strong wind? Soaring with a parakite.
Soft wind and thermic? Paragliding!
No wind or thermals? Racing down the mountain with the parakites!
